The State of South Carolina is pleased to offer the PerksCard Discount Program to all state employees. This discount program enables state employees to save on many everyday purchases and services from local and national vendors. We hope you enjoy the savings!
Q - Is there a mobile application for the PerksCard program?
A - Yes, "shopping on the go" is available via the PerksConnect link above for iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry devices. If you have an iPhone or Android, you can download the FREE mobile app from their respective "market places" and BlackBerry users can download a web version directly at m.perksconnect.com.
Q - Where can eligible employees save?
A - To view participating vendors, eligible employees can register at www.perkscard.com. If you have registered in the past, please continue to use your existing User Name & Password. You may be required to update your information during your first visit to the new site. PerksCard members can save on many items and services, such as dry cleaning, auto repair, pet grooming, spa services, gift baskets. Members can also save at local restaurants.
In order to find local discounts in your area, you will need to search by your location (i.e., the State of South Carolina is divided into three areas: North, which encompasses Greenville County and surrounding towns; Central, which includes Richland County and surrounding towns; and South, which encompasses Charleston County and surrounding towns). The website will allow you to search any of the three areas.

In order to use your PerksCard with Featured Partners, you must use a promotional code; make purchases on-line; or use the Featured Partners' toll free number to apply your discount. The On-line Shopping feature is a convenient on-line comparison shopping tool, since you can compare prices at any time.

Q - Will employees need to show a state identification or employee verification card to use the PerksCard?
A - For the majority of LOCAL purchases, the PerksCard is the only identification you will need to use. Please note, some local vendors may ask for employee identification.
Q - Can others in the eligible employee's family use the card or does the employee need a card for each family member?
A - Each employee will receive one PerksCard; that card may be used by family members to obtain discounts.
Q - Who are some local vendors?
A - PerksCard is always adding new local vendors. Please continue to check the PerksCard website often to find local vendors. Your local statewide merchants are listed on each of the landing pages for your corresponding areas (e.g., North, Central, and South).
Q - How can employees activate their card if they do not have internet access?
A - Employees can call PerksCard at 1-877-253-7100 to register with a membership consultant. Please be sure to let the Customer Service Representative know you are calling from the SC Office of Human Resources program. In addition, many public libraries provide computers with internet access for public use.
Q - What if I do not have an email address?
A - Only legitimate e-mail addresses will be accepted by our system. If you do not have an e-mail address, you can easily set up an e-mail address, at no cost, at websites like,www.Google.com, www.yahoo.com , or www.hotmail.com.
Q - How do I recommend a vendor/merchant to be included in the PerksCard discount program?
A - Email the name of the business, the address, phone number and name of the owner or manager, if you know it, to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please be sure to include the following information: your name, email address, phone number, and let us know you work for the State of South Carolina.
