Pat Butler from DHEC presented information on DHEC’s Work Force Continuity and Development Plan . OHR’s new Workforce Planning web page was introduced including updated demographic data and trends. In addition, OHR has redesigned the workforce planning survey into an oral questionnaire  to more effectively capture current agency needs and feedback on strategies being used. OHR consultants will be contacting agency HR staff to discuss these questions during the fall. In closing, the following issues were brainstormed as potential topics for future Champions meetings: Mentoring How to “teach” mentors to be mentors How to set up mentoring program Objectives of mentoring program Referral bonuses Turn-over, retention strategies Knowledge transfer strategies -- i.e., job aids, identification of competencies, etc. Job analysis Job rotation How to evaluate workforce planning efforts and strategies How to identify success re WFP efforts We will be in touch soon regarding our next meeting.
